Planning notes for Eagle Mountain projects
Newer construction is a head start, not a free pass. We still verify egress window sizing for any planned bedroom, locate the rough-in before designing the bathroom around it, and plan soffits around HVAC trunk lines so ceilings stay clean. Permits run through the city's building department, and we coordinate that as part of the schedule, including inspections at framing, rough mechanical, and completion.

Eagle Mountain basement questions
We're in a newer Eagle Mountain build. How soon can we finish the basement?
There's no required waiting period. Many families finish within the first year or two of moving in. It's smart to check how finishing interacts with your builder warranty, so bring those documents to the consultation and we'll plan around them.
Our furnace and water heater sit right in the middle of the basement. Is that a problem?
It's normal, and it's a layout puzzle we solve constantly in Eagle Mountain floor plans. Mechanical equipment gets its own properly vented room, and the rest of the layout is designed around it so hallways stay short and rooms stay rectangular.
Can you add bedrooms that legally count as bedrooms?
Yes, as long as each sleeping room gets a code-compliant egress window, smoke and CO detection, and adequate ceiling height. Some Eagle Mountain plans come with egress-sized windows already installed; where they don't exist, cutting them in is a normal, scopeable part of the project.
Do you really come out to Eagle Mountain, even the newer areas past Pony Express?
Yes. We serve the whole city, and we're based close enough that site visits and walkthroughs are routine, not a special trip. Cedar Fort and Fairfield homeowners are welcome to reach out as well.
