Hunting is a third-generation contractor who grew up on job sites working alongside his dad. He earned his degree in Finance from BYU, combining hands-on building experience with strong business fundamentals.
As the licensed general contractor in Utah, Hunting handles everything that keeps your project moving: estimates, contracts, scheduling, inspections, client communication, and financial management. Gary Tanner
Gary was a licensed general contractor in California for over 30 years, specializing in tenant improvement construction. He owned and operated Amaron Construction, building out commercial spaces across the state. His technical expertise spans every aspect of construction, from framing and finish carpentry to electrical coordination and full project management.
Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Gary personally reviews every scope of work and maintains quality standards on every job. After three decades of building strong relationships with top subcontractors, he's brought that same network and expertise to Utah.
How the company is put together
Hunting Tanner Construction is a fully licensed and insured Utah general contractor, license #14298989-5501. HTC pairs owner-level project management with qualified, specialized trade partners: licensed electricians and plumbers, HVAC professionals, drywall and finish crews. That's the same structure most good general contractors use. The difference is who's running it. Hunting is personally involved in every single project, and Gary personally reviews every scope of work, bringing three decades of subcontractor relationships and quality standards to each job.

Today, HTC specializes in basement finishing and remodeling across Utah County, a focus that keeps quality high while the company earns its reputation one project at a time. Over time, that foundation is built to grow into kitchens, larger remodels, additions, and custom homes. The name on the truck is a family name, and the plan is to still be proud of it in thirty years.
